A Super-twisting Control Design for Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper explores the practical implementation of super-twisting control (STC) for a shell-and-tube heat exchanger system. It encompasses the mathematical modeling of a laboratory-scale shell-and-tube heat exchanger using first principles, the design of the STC, and a comparative analysis of simulated and experimental results. The study highlights the effectiveness of STC in achieving precise control performance for the given operating conditions. This paper demonstrates that STC can be practically implemented for process control using mechanical positioning actuators in real-world applications.
