Cost Effective Industrial Automation Control System
Main Article Content
Abstract
The current manufacturing process of small- scale industries relies on human control and crude automation, which makes it inefficient with large variabilities in both the quality and output rates. Primarily, there is no proper automation system to supervise and upgrade operations, for example raw material handling, grinding, and filling in lower capacity cement production. A comprehensive industrial automation control system is proposed to overcome these problems. It integrates advanced modules, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, which automatically control and monitor critical production stages, ensuring disturbance-free operation and instant control. The goal is to enhance efficiency in production processes, and product quality, and reduce downtime through predictive maintenance and improved control logic. The proposed system enables better monitoring of material levels, optimized communication between components, and enhanced safety measures. Other benefits include increased production uniformity, reduced energy consumption, higher safety, and better overall management of the manufacturing process that leads to improved plant productivity and hence lower operating costs. This is the way forward for such a control system and give an idea to the manufacturing plants those who are unable to invest large amounts of money to automate the process.
